🎚️ Building the Next Generation of Live Sound Leaders 🎚️

At Megan's Technical Services, we believe that the future of our industry depends on investing in people, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities for technicians to grow into confident industry leaders.

Our recent Intermediate Live Sound Course in Durban brought together an exceptional group of technicians, engineers, students, volunteers, and industry professionals who were eager to deepen their understanding of professional audio systems, digital consoles, signal flow, system processing, and advanced mixing techniques.

What made this course particularly special was the commitment shown by our delegates. Participants travelled from across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond, including Mthatha (Umtata), Ulundi, Ladysmith, Pietermaritzburg, Durban, and the KZN Midlands, demonstrating the incredible passion that exists within South Africa's live events and entertainment technology community.

A special word of thanks must go to DWR Distribution for their outstanding support of technical education and skills development. We are especially grateful to Jaco Beukes for generously sharing his expertise, experience, and time with our delegates.

The opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the DiGiCo Quantum Series platform and learn more about professional system design and deployment using L-Acoustics technology added enormous value to the learning experience.

The enthusiasm, curiosity, and professionalism displayed by every participant remind us why training matters. Every technician who develops their skills strengthens our industry, raises standards, and creates better experiences for audiences, performers, venues, and clients.

Yesterday we celebrated the courage, determination, and potential of our country's young people.

At Megan's Technical Services, we believe that investing in youth is one of the most important investments we can make. The future of the entertainment, events, technical, and creative industries depends on providing young people with opportunities to learn, grow, and discover their talents.

That is why we are proud gear and equipment sponsors of the Festival of Excellence in Dramatic Arts (FEDA) KZN.

Through our partnership with FEDA KZN, we are committed to supporting young performers, technicians, designers, musicians, stage managers, and creative thinkers as they develop the skills that will shape the future of our industry.

What a year this week has been! From shows with acclaimed South African stars, to conferences, repairing broken gear for clients, running fashion shows, consulting with the fish (and some people!) at UShaka, performances with the KZNPO, hosting a brilliant training course for newbies in the lighting industry, and even a curtain installation or 2, we are now headed to the Eastern Cape! Meet Megan and Luke, the powerhouse couple behind MTS... well caffeinated, fully loaded, and always at your service.
