Is die hout te geel na jou sin as jy dit seël? Kyk wat doen Mari-Susan om verby dit te kom 🤩🎨


Hier is die stappe 🙂

1. Trek jou oudste jeans (denim) aan (dit gaan lekker vuil word) 😉
2. Ons het Acetone op die tafel gegooi en begin skraap dat die ou vernis afkom. 'n Lekker wenk is om sommer n rol van die kombuislappies byderhand te hou. Acetone verdamp vinnig en ñ nat lappie vol acetone laat dit lekker intrek.
3. Na afskraap moet jy skuur (gebruik 'n orbital sander of soortgelyk) wat jy nie kon afkry nie.
4. Meng 1/3 verf met 2/3 water, verf en vee die oortollige verf af met 'n lap soos in die video; dit keer die geel.
5. Seël dan die hout met 'n deurskynende wood sealer.

Here's the video of the fabric chair transformation which we posted about last week!
Mari-Susan opted to mix two Kryt colours, Raven and Shadow, to get a unique colour for her chairs.

Here are the steps she followed:
- take 1 cup of paint (or mix equal amounts of paints for a new, unique colour)
- add 1/2 a cup of fabric softner (concentrated)
- add 1/2 a cup of water
- mix everything well
- slightly dampen the fabric by spraying it with water (this helps the spreading of the paint and provides even better coverage than normally!)
- paint on the 1st coat
- once the 1st coat is dry, rub the fabric with a copper scrubber before painting the 2nd coat; this will help retain the original fabric texture
- enjoy your fantastic new chairs! 🤩
