WALK
I stepped in to a relationship with him,
however without me,
it was not meant to be
if love was not in it.
be it a conscious decision or not loving you I did!
and you hurting me was never part of the deal,
yet I stayed with with hope to recreate a home ideal.
oooh! such a desperate attempt wasted on tears,
when you try to love a man who lives in fear.
I walked away because my conscious was clear,
I learnt... that loving you shouldn't let my self worth disappear,
it should inspire the spirit to hold us dear.
how I wish I could walk the years with you,
only to see memories fade with your cruel rule.
my story is nothing more than words in a book,
hoping someone will read and know the truth.
I walked away because I learnt I am not my pain!
you are enough until you let him take a piece of you each day,
until you walk distance will fool your gaze,
don't you know your power is in God's Grace?
walk away without hate and embrace your Faith.
