One of our talented teens has been diving into the art of ceramics, experimenting with altering wheel-thrown vessels and exploring the endless possibilities of textures using slips and glazes. Each piece is a unique journey of discovery, pushing the boundaries of traditional pottery techniques.

Today, he’s turning his creative spark into fire with an experiment that’s equal parts art and science! 🐱💡

Combining cat hair, copper sulfate, salt, and newspaper in his homemade mini Raku kiln, which doubles as a forge 🔥, Luke’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with a reduction firing.
