7 of our students from the age of 10 to the age of 18 are going to be exhibiting their “imagined self portraits “ at the Rust-en-Vrede Gallery at the The CUBE and Clay Museum .

I am extremely proud of them, their dedication and imaginative work.

One of our talented teens has been diving into the art of ceramics, experimenting with altering wheel-thrown vessels and exploring the endless possibilities of textures using slips and glazes. Each piece is a unique journey of discovery, pushing the boundaries of traditional pottery techniques.

🌸 Exciting news! One of our talented adult students requested a botanical flower printing workshop using clay and glass plaster of Paris, and we made it happen! 🎨✨

Check out these stunning prints—they’re perfect for home decor or as textured tools for ceramics. We will bisk fire the richly prints as an added bonus- Stay tuned for more creative workshops!

🔥 Studio adventures with Luke! 🎨

Today, he’s turning his creative spark into fire with an experiment that’s equal parts art and science! 🐱💡

Combining cat hair, copper sulfate, salt, and newspaper in his homemade mini Raku kiln, which doubles as a forge 🔥, Luke’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with a reduction firing.

Our kids classes 1st cubist inspired mask came out of the kiln and left me with a smile on my face!

Our 10 year old learner drew inspiration from a book of South African potters. She whipped up a toucan jug bursting with color and charm. With a steady hand and a spark of creativity, she brought her feathered friend to life in clay, proving that big art can come from little hands!
