"Sound Of Water" A sculpture piece by Olivia Dunkley, CURRENTLY ON DISPLAY UNTIL 09 OCTOBER 2024

Sculpture Narrative:

"The sound Of Water" is an abstract sculpture capturing this ethereal melody. It's fluid, intertwined forms evoke waves in a Cosmic sea, symbolizing the element of water and the song of the universe.

The sculptures twisting and dynamic curves create a sense of perpetual motion, embodying the cyclical nature of existence and the interconnectedness of all things. Splashes and droplets suggest sound waves reverberating through water, a visual metaphor for Cosmic vibrations.

Drawing from ancient mythologies, the sculpture presents water as a Cosmic principle, representing the universe as an ocean of sound and energy. The Latin origin of "universe" meaning "all things turned into one" reflects this unity.

Engaging with the sculpture, the viewers are invited to imagine the sound of flowing water and the distant hum of the Cosmos.

The Creation of the sculpture is done with a community initiative in mind. The waste that is collected will become part of the monumental sculpture itself - highlighting the importance of community effort. The sculpture serves as a reminder of the importance of sustainability, and how we can create a beautiful, unified world without harming ourselves and our environment in the process"
