Clippies. Instead of using a washing peg to close your coffee and cereal packets you can put on a cute animal clip. This was a project I started last year.. In addition to painting and illustrating cards, i love making gifts, especially unique, handmade and quirky gifts. And these tick all those boxes!

At first I was cutting the clippies by hand. With a hacksaw and a dremel - It was terribly difficult. I soon realized - Woodwork is not my calling! 😬
So now i leave the wood cutting part to the professionals, and I just design and paint them. So much better 😅🏝

A few gratitude notes:

So thankful for my dear mom.
I courier a box full of unpainted clippie shapes to her, she seals them, paints the sides sends them back to me. ( I wish we could be in the same room and do this together over endless cups of tea! ❤ )

So thankful to my Heavenly Father who opens all these different way for me to use the gifts He has given me and that I can do art full time. It often takes various forms (every day can look so different) It is such a joy 💕 Thank You Jesus.

Thank you to my husband for your amazing support and patience in the moments when our home looks like a factory and I hug you while I'm covered in paint!

Each one of these clippies are handmade with love. I hope it will bring joy to a lot of people, giving and receiving them.

Its been so cool randomly hearing someone saying, "OH! You make them!? I was gifted a sunbird one for Christmas!"

I know a lot of you love your dogs and cats. Or you are bird lovers like me. There's something for everyone!

We are currently preparing these, and other fun and exciting products. Keep an eye out for them at your local Festive markets at the end of the year. 🌟

Sorry I don't update you with studio news more often. My hands are regularly full of paint and that and typing doesn't always go well together! 😅 I'm sure you understand!

When gifted with dahlias... of course I'm going to have to draw them! Dahlias also has a very cool meaning - beauty, dignity, kindness and inner strength. It reminds me of the Proverbs 31 woman who is clothed in "strength and dignity" and "she laughs at the time to come." (Prov 31:25) She has such a stunning inner strength and confidence! She is not afraid or anxious about the future, in fact she can laugh and have a light heart! But how does she do it?

God who created the flowers also has ALL her needs taken care of and her life and future safe in His hands. She doesn't have to sit with a heavy or anxious heart and a frowny face. Instead she can cast every care over to God. So she rests in His care, and can now in turn reach out with overflowing kindness to others! Thus is true for the proverbs 31 woman and it is true for you and me as well! 🧡

Inspired by a few Bible verses containing "Let Us"

"Let us draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed in pure water. Let us hold firmly to the hope we profess, for we can trust God to keep his promise." Heb 10:22-24

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." Heb 12:2

"Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Gen 1:26

There are many other verses containing these words. But today, may you be encouraged to fix your eyes on Jesus as your source, Creator and author of your life.
The One who holds it all together.
He is good and kind and will give you peace in this uncertain world.

Let us - keep our eyes on Him, not on the things that make us fearful or weigh us down.
Let us - come with boldness and confidence to God and receive His help and peace. 💛
