📷 A frozen moment of spiritual enlightenment by Michelle Banda

Michelle first came down to Makhanda in 2017 to study. “Since the beginning of the year 2020, I had been deeply immersed in freezing moments I can look back to which has influenced most of my works,” she said.

This photograph was taken at the Cathedral of St Michael and St George during a concert performance. Michelle says it speaks volumes outside the context it was taken in. “Our country needs the light with the Gender Based Violence and Coronavirus pandemic holding us in strings,” she added.
