Heritage Weekend Camp September 2024 Edition Postponment

2024 Theme : Celelebrating The African Child

Greetings sons and daughters of Africa. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postpone this month heritage event.

On the first week of October the new date with the venue of the event will be announced. We pride ourselves with the fire iZiko - an ancient institution of indigenous knowledge and wisdom. We hope to see you on our next date whilst we will be around a social cohesive, therapeutic, healing and reviving space called Iziko isikolo sokuqala .

Our Heritage Weekend was an extraordinary cultural immersion that left us in awe! From traditional Xhosa songs to captivating poetry, it was a journey of the heart and soul. 🎶📜

Day One: A Magical Beginning
Day one at the historic Ntaba Yezono was nothing short of magical. Our dialogue about heritage and Xhosa culture clan names was both enlightening and inspiring. The rain clouds gathering as we concluded the program felt like a sign from the ancestors confirming our event’s significance. 🌦️✨

Day Two Highlights: A Fusion of Wisdom and Artistry
🗣️ Traditional Poets: We were spellbound by the powerful verses that resonated with generations of wisdom and storytelling.
💬 Panel Discussion: A diverse and highly qualified panel of traditional healers and religious leaders engaged in profound discussions, shedding light on our heritage’s depth.

Feast Fit for Royalty
Special thanks to Mr. Mhlambiso of Eastcape Midlands College for treating our taste buds to an incredible culinary journey. The food throughout the weekend was nothing short of amazing! 🍛👨‍🍳

🌄 Day 1 of Our Heritage Weekend Camp at Ntaba Yezono: A Magical Beginning! 🌄

What an incredible start to our Heritage Weekend Camp at the historic Ntaba Yezono! 🏞️ The turnout was beyond amazing, and the day was filled with enriching dialogues about our heritage and the fascinating world of Xhosa culture clan names. 🗣️📜

Ntaba Yezono: Where History Meets Spirituality
Ntaba Yezono, this mystical mountain that has seen generations come and go, was our chosen setting for this memorable event. It's a place where our ancestors once prayed for rain, and today, it holds the whispers of history and spirituality. 🌦️✨

As we wrapped up our program for the day, something truly extraordinary happened. The rain clouds gathered above us, as if the ancestors themselves were speaking and confirming the importance of our event. 🌧️🙏

We couldn't have asked for a more magical start to our Heritage Weekend Camp. 🌟
