INSPIRATION: A single page scrapbook layout designed by Merle Zulberg
For this single-page layout, Merle created plenty of layers and dimension to bring the design to life.
The background is double-matted, with the first butterfly layer also double-matted to add depth and structure. The photo takes centre stage with a triple mat, creating a beautiful focal point.
To add a delicate finishing touch, Merle hand-drew dots around all the black mats using a white gel pen. Fussy-cut butterflies were then added throughout the layout, with their bodies covered in glitter for a touch of sparkle. The wings were gently raised to create a 3D effect, giving the butterflies a sense of movement and bringing the whole page to life.

For this layout, Merle chose a rich dark green background and added a punched shape layered over the top to create depth and visual interest. Wanting to feature just one photo, she designed a large collage of beautifully layered, fussy-cut elements to the left of the image, creating a striking focal point. The photo is triple matted to help it stand out, while cog stickers tucked beneath the layers add an industrial touch and extra dimension to the overall design.
