Proud Lion

I've been working on a new technique for this unique piece and it turned out better than I ever could've dreamed. The face was also built up to give a 3D effect.
In the end I worked approximately 53 Hours on this particular piece and it's size is 91x60cm.

Origins of the sand

1. Namibian dune sand
2. Blue: Tormaline (Blue Topax)
3. Black: Sand Blast Grid
4. White: White Marble
5. Brown: Monazite from Kwa-Zulu Natal
