Chris Lamprecht...

Baie geluk met jou 99ste verjaarsdag vandag, 1 Oktober 2026, oom Chris. Mag jy 'n geseënde nuwe lewensjaar begin en mag daar steeds wonderlike musiek uit jou pen vloei. Chris Lamprecht Musiek

On Sunday morning, the choir participated in a wonderful event - the 300 year reunion of the Lamprecht family in South Africa. The choir performed the well known "Aandgesang", and a very moving "Stil tot God"- composed by Chris Lamprecht. They also sang a newly composed (April 2026) Psalm 136, specially written for, and dedicated to Eden Camerata. This was only the second time that "Liefde sonder einde" was sung in public.

After the service, the choir had an impromptu performance from the church galleries, singing Psalm 23 and "Wie het ek buiten U" for a few members of the congregation.

Five works for special guests, oom Chris and tannie Elza Lamprecht.

Creating lasting memories

The choir had a busy weekend. The choir performed at Kraaibosch Village (George) on Saturday evening. André van Zyl (previous choirmaster) was the guest conductor for a few songs, and was then followed by Ronell Mentz, conducting the choir for rest of the evening. Beautiful songs by Lamprecht, Prinsloo and other composers were sung.
