I didn't always agree with him, (his handle was Literally "Cynical" "Brit") but you best believe I respected him and he was nothing but positive in the StarCraft and (usually) gaming community.

When I say modern music(or rap) is trash, I get a lot of dirty looks like I'm just a contrarian or overly nostalgic; when I say Disney is socially destructive because its stories lack morals, I get rolling eyes and skepticism, at best, but let me make this clear;
Artists are just as capable of making art, in all genres and mediums as they ever were, but you've Have to dig thru the trough slopped in front of you to find it, so don't just be complacent and gobble down corporate propaganda specifically designed to manipulate you into a complacent lifestyle driven by material acquisition and consumerism, to benefit only congolemerates with massive hands in every pie.
Don't be a slave; why do you think it is Miley Cyrus killed her character for Disney? Money? Or ethics?

And now for Exhibit A; enjoy a rappist with a moral to their story(and yes, they are aware you want to f**k and be rich, they just have something less obvious to say, as well.)

Net Neutrality is the concept that the Internet has become a vital public utility, such as water and electricity, and thus can not be owned or controlled by the provider of the utility, but must be equally provided for a regulated profit margin.

The concept of Ending net neutrality is purely profit-motivated and without these protections, we as citizens, have nothing to gain, and much to lose.

If you are concerned with the FCC chairman's persistent attacks on net neutrality, seemingly ignoring the public outcry a year later, every time, then write your Congressman and reiterate that the controversy has indeed, Not died down, and we are Not complacent;

Ok ; here's our breakdown;

Science fiction is the genre which discusses the fictional extrapolation of scientific concepts and discoveries; sub genres include Futurism, Time Travel, Dystopia / Utopia and with some crossover with Fantasy in "Science Fantasy" where metaphysical concepts are allowed by the distance from Earth in space-time. Science Fiction has the edge in quality and innovation, as the genre as a whole has such groundbreaking influence in HG Wells, Isaac Aasimov, Arthur C Clark and Phillip K. Dick and newer popular culture phenomena such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Jurassic Park and Back To The Future.

Fantasy, on the other hand, at its most basic, attempts to rewrite the rules of reality and create alternate civilizations within these metaphysical changes, and at its best, attempts to explore universal truths of the human condition in spite of these changes. As a genre, its often criticized for its shallowness and over - dependence on the influence of J.R.R. Tolkien, but with such lush and imaginative worlds and backstories to lose yourself in, its easy to recognize the newfound popularity of such examples as : Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and arguably Marvel and DC mythologies: making this no underdog.
