Hey, I’m Mela & this is my little brand (feels not so little anymore) but I’m here, buzzing like a busy bee💛

I am surrounded by the most amazing & supportive people & am so grateful everyday that I get to wake up & do what I do! Some days are tough, some are exciting, some are exhausting but 100% of the time it’s worth it! And all thanks to the constant support of customers, friends & general live around me🌞

DID YOU KNOW….that I, Mela, founder of Wild Kind make the ponchos myself? I have a fun little workshop at home where I cut & sew beautiful towels into the ponchos you see hanging in my store🤩

It’s been such an adventure learning the skill over the years & all the tricks & trials that come with sewing towelling fabric!

Sometimes I fail & sometimes (I like to think most of the time) I succeed & I can say that cos iv lost count at how many I’ve made since I started in 2020🤓

I always feel so happy when I see people at the beach or pools wearing my beautifully made garments & I give myself a small pat on the back because I do it alone, no assistant or little mice to help me like Cinderella (I’ve tried with my cats but they don’t have thumbs you see) .

So when you buy one of my ponchos, you support my passion, you support my hobby now business and you support a local South African 🇿🇦

We are thrilled to share that we will be joining the • Shongweni Market • as a permanent stall vendor from the 26th of September at stall H2😁

We have been attending this market since Covid days and have always enjoyed the crafts, customers and outdoor vibe. Decisions like these aren’t easy to make but our customers-YOU- have made it possible for us to make the decision to keep coming back!

No more saying ‘we didn’t see you here last week’ or ‘when will you be here again’, it’s an ongoing WE ARE HERE!!!
