Studio view - these very patient creatures are fresh out the kiln! I made them months ago as test pieces for the first Norman Road firing. 🤣 it's been a journey. But here we all are. Me and my fire horses, just in time for the year of goat! Gotta love a goat though.

Time is such a curious thing. A year ago I was getting ready for my first gallery installation. I was deeply entrenched in my creative flow, which coincided with watching banana slugs smooch on the porch. Who am I to question the significance of either of those events? Things are different now. And perhaps with a little more time the significance of that will manifest. Or not.

I am SO lucky to hang out with lovely humans and create. Anything is possible and today that anything was a series of poems formed from words cut from a delivery box left behind by a guest! Yay! 🤣🥳

League of Unusual Women
​lay honey at their feet

Speaking of women, this wooden block tiger stamp, all the way from Goa, was gift from a man. A man who told me that if I didnt make art I would get sick. I believe him still. He had a strange relationship with women. Was our biggest cheerleader; builder of pedestals and alternative worlds. Not sure why he is on my mind at the moment... the disruptor, the advocate for the unusual.
