Iā€™ve been drawing since forever, but somehow Iā€™d never actually drawn myself. So I decided my first self-portrait wasnā€™t going to be a normal portraitā€¦ it explores the idea of being made of different parts and shapes and the idea of becoming something new all the time yet every version still remains me. Iā€™m so excited to share that Iā€™ll be exhibiting Unbroken, a series exploring the invisible scars left by gender-based violence, at the melville art mile. this Thursday. šŸ¤

This will be my first time exhibiting this body of work publicly, and Iā€™m incredibly grateful to be part of an event Iā€™ve admired for so long.

Unbroken explores the invisible scars left by gender-based violence through portraiture, inviting reflection, conversation, and empathy.
