I have been asked by a number of people who have bought "bargain" 3-ply fabric masks to "fix" these masks. I am really appalled by the workmanship, but mostly, by the false advertising.

A 3-ply mask does NOT make it a safe mask. This morning I fixed a 3-ply mask which was purchased at R29 as a 2-ply with filter. I opened the mask and it was 3 glorified layers of T-shirting.

WHO stipulates that the filter HAS to be spun, not woven. Failure to provide that protection does not protect you people.

Masks, masks, masks. Now that it has been confirmed that Covid-19 is, in fact, airborne..... ensure that the masks you purchase are WHO compliant. A cheap 2 ply mask WILL NOT protect you!
