We love compliments like this 😂
Some compliments just stand out. From day one I have tried to screenshot as many of the compliments we get on Slayer in our inboxes or our mail. I’m sitting on hundreds. This doesn’t include mentions in comments or in person compliments that we get at events which now numbers in the 10’s of thousands.
Our sugar free recipe is superb. I would be very happy to blind test our product against any sugar free and most sugar products. In fact I would welcome it.
But back to the point. Some compliments just stand out 😂 I got this on a day when I was I was having a gatvol day (for non South Africans that directly translates to ‘hole full’ essentially meaning bum hole full), it means you’ve just had enough 😂
Reading the first lines I was like ‘oh no here we go!’ but as I continued it turned my proverbial frown upside down.
Let me be clear. Everyone loves compliments. But for a small business that needs validation on every street corner compliments can be our life blood on days where we are questioning all our life choices. Days where we have been whacked from pillar to post with the usual operations issues, cash flow conversations, general stuff ups and pretty much everything that could go wrong going wrong. Compliments put us back on track again. They make us realize why we started this in the first place. And mostly, they can take us from being completely down on the dumps to top of the world in a couple of seconds.
If you enjoyed something that you tried, especially if it is a small business, I urge you to take 2 minutes to type them something that will make their day. For you it’s 2 minutes for them, if the timing is right, it could be the difference between wanting to give everything up and the fuel to carry on…
PS I answer every compliment and complaint myself as often as I can. It’s the best way to keep your eye on what’s happening on the ground.
