"24" is a show that feels like home to me. It may seem like an unusual choice, but it played a significant role in shaping me. Growing up, some of the first strong female characters I encountered were on this show, effortlessly powerful and inspiring to my young mind.

Among them, Michelle Dessler stands out as my absolute favorite. She seemed to have it all—a thriving career and an epic romance. Over the years, I've created several artworks of the character played by Reiko Aylesworth, with my last piece done in 2018. Interestingly, that was my first time working with oil paint, a medium I’m still not entirely familiar with.

Now, I find myself wondering: after all this time away from oil painting, could I still create something as good as that 2018 portrait of Michelle?

Used to just go on Pinterest and draw the first pretty girl I saw... this was a new style for me at the time, mixing in more elements and just having fun with colour.
It paid off as she was my best selling art print of 2019, I think she deserves a revisit using all the skills I've gained since I first painted her.
