Introducing our next production: ESTHER – Game of Queens 👑

We’re so excited to begin sharing a little more about what our dancers have been working towards!

This October, Christian Dance Academy will bring ESTHER: Game of Queens to the Guild Theatre for four performances from 7–10 October 2026.

Set around the story of Esther, this production brings together powerful characters, beautiful choreography and a cast of talented senior dancers.

The auditions are done. The roles have been cast. Rehearsals are underway.

Now the countdown begins…

Introducing our next production: ESTHER – Game of Queens 👑

We’re so excited to begin sharing a little more about what our dancers have been working towards!

Every ballet step tells a story, and the coupe chasse pas de bo***ée is all about connection and flow. ✨

This elegant sequence combines three movements into one seamless travelling step, helping dancers move confidently and gracefully across the floor while developing coordination, balance and timing.

At Christian Dance Academy, our dancers learn that mastering the fundamentals creates the foundation for beautiful movement and future growth. 🩰

The Queens Are Coming… 👑

Back in June, our senior dancers stepped into the spotlight for auditions for our upcoming production, ESTHER: Game of Queens.

We were searching for the dancers who would bring some very important characters to life: Esther, Vashti, and the seven Lead Jewels, Opal, Topaz, Sapphire, Ruby, Amethyst, Chrysolite and Onyx.

Now the auditions are behind us, rehearsals are underway, and the pieces of this spectacular story are beginning to come together.

Who will wear the crown?
Who will rise to the challenge?
And what happens when the game begins?

There are moments in dance, and in life, when something feels just out of reach. A new skill seems impossible, confidence wavers, or progress feels slow. Yet it is often in those moments that we are reminded to place our trust in God.

As a Christian Dance Academy family, we are encouraged by His promise.

May this truth encourage each of our dancers and their families to keep believing, keep trusting, and keep stepping forward in faith, knowing that nothing is beyond God's power. 💙

Age Groups and Times:
Level 1: School Grades 1–3 | Mondays, 17:15-18:00 | R920 per term
Level 2: School Grades 4–6 | Mondays, 17:15-18:00 | R920 per term
Level 3: School Grades 7–12 | Fridays, 16:00–16:45 | R920per term

Sometimes the lesson isn't the dance. It's learning how to dance together. 🩰

Ballet is often thought of as an individual art form, but so much of it is about working as a team.

These little dancers found themselves in a bit of a muddle while practising their formation. Instead of us rushing in to fix it, they were given the opportunity to work it out together in a safe and encouraging environment.

At Christian Dance Academy, we believe there is real value in allowing children to think, communicate, problem solve and discover solutions for themselves. Those moments build confidence, resilience and teamwork, alongside beautiful dancing.

The smiles in the second photo say it all. They figured it out. 💛

Sometimes the greatest achievement isn't getting it right the first time. It's learning how to make it right together.
