A production company that has its foundation set on developing the Eastern Cape provinces’ entertainment industry. We aim to achieve this by employing mechanisms that are meant to shift attention away from Vovee Music Productions and unto the entertainment landscape of the Province. Though rich in talent, as evident by the number of nationally acclaimed Businessman, Leaders, Musicians,
Actors, Sport stars and models that are Eastern Cape born; the province has an underdeveloped entertainment industry that is not regulated hence the lack of media and public attention to artists that reside in the province. Globally, the creative industry is seen by marketing Executives and Managers as a populous platform to increase brand awareness as crowds of people always gather in one venue to attend an entertainment show. This perception is not employed by Executives and Managers in the province and as such, local shows and artists have a crippled Private Sector or Corporate success. Artists do not have endorsements and shows do not get sponsored by the corporate. We therefore are a company that aims to facilitate a merger between the entertainment industry and the business sector with the sole intention of having both industries grow. Business Sector:
This sector will grow and provide positive returns to the provincial GDP and economy as new markets will be gained through visible association of a certain artist or mileage during an entertainment event. Creative Industry:
Through funds solicited from the business sector, the industry will grow owing to availability of funds to purchase resources that will allow for production of top quality material. This will make our local industry be more than ready and resourced to compete with the rest of the country and the world. Our Background
Through being employed by Sizwe Zako as a Sound Engineer at EMI-CCP Records in 1999 until 2005, Sivuyile Batala, affectionately known as Vovee returned to his native province of the Eastern Cape. He came with extensive knowledge, expertise and connections within the industry to infiltrate and grow the province. Vovee Music Productions was then born and started operating without any legal documentation. The gospel fraternity was already aware of the technical abilities of Vovee and as such, Vovee Music was instrumental in hosting and coordinating concerts, shows and launches of the likes of Malibongwe Gcwabe, Veliswa Skeyi, Butho Vuthela to name just a few. We are an Eastern Cape born and bred entity that has its sight set firm on being a catalyst and initiator of industry development and growth whilst ensuring that profitability becomes a congruent reality, one that is in harmony with its competitors as we all should aim to develop and grow the sector.
