It is very wrong to buy a property without involving your spouse. Also, you can't buy a property and not have the discussion on the registration of the property. If married In Community of Property, that property has to be in both spouses' names. You can't go ahead register a property under "your name" only. Before buying a property, as a couple, you:
1. Sit, have a discussion on whether you need a property or not.
2. Agree on the type, cost, and location of property
3. Go view properties before sealing any deal.
4. Agree on which one to purchase
5. Make the purchase together
6. Meet your lawyer together to fill up registration documents.
7. Receive the property registration documents together.
Finish & clar. How some couples miss this basic principle; I don't know 🤷🏽♂️
