Durban Spring Break is a beach event consists of a beach party and beach sports, running for two consecutive days at our Durban newly upgraded beach infrastructure best known as Durban New Beach. Basically the event will a introduce a new model of beach fun that incorporates beach fashion (shorts and t-shirts); beach sports; the best prominent musicians and the Durban tropical lifestyle. The B
each Party, which will be on The 31st of August, and boasts of an A list line up of artists, revelers are expected to look stunning in a tropical themed casual wear and or beachwear, i.e. shorts, colorful shirts and t-shirts, flops to complement or suit the event. We are also featuring our local designers who will be showcasing tropical leisurewear and tropical themed spring to summer clothing between the music acts with our programming directors commentating and describing the attires. We have proposed to team up with Ilanga newspapers through their model search page “Ubuhlebendalo” and “igezalensizwa” to present an opportunity to the models to showcase the designers’ garments. The 1st of September is our Beach sports day where sports codes like touch rugby, beach soccer, beach volleyball and surfing will be played. We are expecting amateur teams from other provinces to feature in the sporting disciplines. We have approached teams from Durban, Gauteng, Port Elizabeth, and Richards bay, Port Shepstone, East London and Cape Town. Winners will be awarded with medals and cash prizes sponsored by ABSA Bank.
