Lisa Bobbert McIlroy RETURNS AS HOST OF Shall We Dance Durban 2026
A familiar face, a powerhouse performer and the perfect personality to lead Durban’s much-loved dance spectacular.
Shall We Dance is delighted to announce that Lisa Bobbert will return as the host and compère of the 2026 production — marking her second consecutive year at the helm of this iconic Durban showcase.
Following her hugely entertaining appearance in the 2025 production, Lisa is back to bring her trademark energy, quick wit, theatrical flair and larger-than-life personality to the Shall We Dance stage from 11–13 September 2026 at The Playhouse, Durban.
Lisa is much more than an MC.
She is a performer who understands the stage.
In 2025, Lisa's hosting became an integral part of the production. Her appearances included a range of colourful characters and musical performances, with her performance of Proud Mary backed by female singer-dancers from the International School of Performing Arts.
Shall We Dance returns to The Playhouse, Durban, from 11–13 September 2026, continuing its proud tradition as one of South Africa's longest-running annual stage productions.
The 2026 production promises an exciting celebration of dance, music, theatre and entertainment, featuring dancers from across KwaZulu-Natal together with professional and international performers.
