Resort Accounting Clerk

A Resort is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk. Essential to have Payroll and Pastel experience. Must have Hospitality experience within finance.
The accounting clerk would be responsible for providing complete, reliable and accurate financial information within deadlines and ensuring adherence to the month end timetable and year end planning within the property.
Key areas:
Preparing salary inputs and submitting monthly payroll information to General Manager for approval. Assisting in finalizing month-end trail balance and month-end packs — management report and TV Pack. Preparing and update pastel with Supplier invoices, Bank movement, Payments, Depreciation Journal, Pre-payments, Provisions, accruals. Submitting all statutory returns VAT, UIF, PAYE, ROE and EMP501 information to SARS and other statutory bodies. Provide guidance and support with monthly forecast and cash flow. Assist with monthly Balance sheet and supplier reconciliation. Assist with monthly stock takes, Up-keep stock files on Pastel Maintain Rental Pool distribution and assist owners with additional stamen queries Maintain and control the cashbook function. Ensure proper system of purchasing from the placing of orders, right through to the receiving, disbursement and consumption of stock items. HR Duties: Filing, Weekly Wages/monthly Salaries capturing, managing leave – Annual, Sick, Study and Family responsibility Providing support on weekly cash flow and loading of approved payment. Assisting with the completing annual budgets
Experience Required:
Grade 12 Financial accounting qualification would be an added advantage. Hospitality exposure would be an added plus. Computer software knowledge in Microsoft Office Package would be a plus. Background Knowledge into Sage Pastel and Opera would be beneficial. Confidential and professional at all times High level of integrity
