Mokete wa Mokopu is an important cultural tradition that has been passed down through generations, it helps to preserve and promote customs, values and traditions, ensuring that they are not lost over time.

As Makgolokwe A Mafehleng celebrated this day on the 21st March 2026, the ceremony provided an opportunity for the young people to learn from their elders and Leader, gaining the valuable knowledge about the history of Makgolokwe-a-Mafehleng.

Various Royals met for a C20 summit to discuss policy development for traditional leadership across the continent, to prepare their submissions to the G20 conference. The summit took place at Vereeniging city hall on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday the Royal Leaders paid a visit to the Makgolokwe a Mafehleng kingdom for networking and cultural festivities, this was to also visit the youth development programmes of Makgolokwe a Mafehleng where by 150 Youth are admitted into 2 programmes focused to giving them skills for employment. The visit was also used for various stakeholders in Cultural Initiation around Makgolokwe a Mafehleng to discuss the needs and preparations for the up coming summer initiation period.

Visitors included HRH Papa Sande Emolot, king of the Iteso people, Representatives from the Zulu Kingdom, Deligation from Ghana with the Queen mother, Lesotho delegation, Botswana delegation, etc

It is with great honor that we share news of the recent visit of His Majesty, Kgosikgolo Lehasa II of the Makgolokwe a Mafehleng, to the Royal House of Mtoto of AmaTshawe at Chafutweni. His Majesty was graciously accompanied by Khosana Moloi and the Princess of AmaBhaca.

This distinguished gathering of dikgosi was held in the spirit of fellowship, unity, and mutual respect. It was an occasion marked by dining, traditional praise songs, and the strengthening of bonds between our royal houses.

Such moments of togetherness remind us of the enduring ties that bind our kingdoms and the cultural heritage that continues to guide our people with wisdom, dignity, and joy.

It is with profound honor that we announce the recent visit of His Majesty, King Kgosikgolo Lehasa II of the Makgolokwe a Mafehleng, to the AmaBhaca Royal Residence, where His Majesty was graciously received and accompanied by the Princess of AmaBhaca.

This occasion was convened to fortify the bonds of kinship and unity between our kingdoms, and to inaugurate a noble initiative dedicated to the empowerment of our youth.

The program, founded upon the pillars of entrepreneurship, debt collection, and call center training, seeks to equip young men and women from across our realms with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to build prosperous futures. Upon the completion of their studies, all learners shall be formally graduated and honored in Johannesburg, marking the commencement of their journeys into meaningful contribution and service.

The House of Makgolokwe remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing the promise of our youth and, through their advancement, to ensuring the enduring strength, dignity, and flourishing of our kingdoms.

As part of our ongoing community outreach initiative, Youth Life, in collaboration with Makgolokwe a Mafehleng, visited local crèches around Deneysville and engaged with the staff at the local clinic to offer support in various activities. The clinic welcomed our involvement and advised us to follow the appropriate procedures by contacting the Bloemfontein office for formal clearance to assist in the distribution of medication to the elderly.

As Youth life and Makgolokwe a Mafehleng traditional council changes their lives, the youth are changing other people's lives in return.
