en die wind my siel weer vrede gee.

Hier hoef ek niks te wees,
niks te jaag, niks te vrees—
net staan, net kyk, net asemhaal.

Hoekom het ek hierdie skildery geskilder?

Ek het hierdie stuk geskilder omdat ek aangetrokke was tot die gevoel van stilte, vrede en 'n plek waar die siel kan rus.

Ek het groot geword op ' n plaas en dit was altyd so lekker gewees om net die veld of berg in te vaar, op 'n klip of miershoop te sit die stilte om jou in te neem en net weer asem te haal.
Soms het jy niks meer nodig as 'n uitsig en 'n oomblik van stilte nie.
