🌗✨ Light Out of Darkness & Treasures of Darkness ✨🌘

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts…” — 2 Corinthians 4:6
“I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places…” — Isaiah 45:3

These rare round canvases (tondi) form a dialogue between shadow and illumination. Light Out of Darkness reflects God’s first command — light breaking into creation. Treasures of Darkness responds with the mystery of hidden beauty, the promise of discovery in unseen places.

Nina Munro has created just 25 works to date. These tondos belong to that scarce early body of work — with more paintings planned as the studio reopens.

This painting by Nwaly Tsolo was born from a cherished family holiday at the beach — laughter, sunshine, and golden memories with his extended family. The beach has always been his place of joy and reflection.

But, as with life, not everything is as it seems. Inspired by the saying “all that glitters is not gold,” this piece explores the contrast between surface beauty and hidden truths. What do we really see when we look beyond the shine?
