Fibre Ya Kasi Steps Up to Support 20 Matric Learners During Final Examinations
AKASIA, GAUTENG | 12 OCTOBER 2026
For 20 matric learners preparing for their final examinations, staying connected will be one less thing to worry about.
South African internet service provider Fibre Ya Kasi has proudly sponsored internet connectivity for the NGWANA “Tlhogo ya tsie o a tshwaraganelwa” Candidate Support Programme, an initiative by Lighthouse Children Ministries and Joshua Generation Centre.
The programme, running from 12 October to 27 November 2026, provides 20 Grade 12 learners facing challenging circumstances with accommodation, meals, study support and a safe environment to prepare for their final examinations.
Through this sponsorship, Fibre Ya Kasi will ensure that participating learners have access to internet connectivity throughout the programme, helping them access educational resources without the additional expense of purchasing mobile data.
The announcement was warmly welcomed by parents and community members during the programme's official launch.
One parent expressed relief, saying, “Yoh, thank you, now we won't have to buy data.”
For Fibre Ya Kasi, those words captured the true meaning of community support.
“Where you come from does not determine how far you can go.”
That was the message shared with learners during the launch, encouraging them to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams regardless of their circumstances.
The initiative reflects Fibre Ya Kasi's commitment to supporting communities beyond providing affordable internet services.
Because connecting communities isn't just about internet. It's about connecting people to opportunities and a brighter future.
To the Class of 2026, we wish you strength, determination and success in your final examinations!
