Putting on a Golf Simulator — Is It Any Good?
One of the biggest criticisms we hear about golf simulators is putting.
And to be fair, there’s a reason for it.
Many simulator setups use RCT (Radar Capture Technology) balls, which are designed primarily to improve launch-monitor accuracy during the full swing when being tracked by Doppler radar. They’re not necessarily the ideal ball for recreating behaviour of a real golf ball around the greens.
Putting on our simulator is not only great fun — it’s a fantastic way to practice distance control, alignment and putting accuracy, while giving you instant feedback on every putt - but remember to use regular gold balls for putting!
And the results speak for themselves.
Recently, Nico Burger played the back nine at his local club and only needed 11 putts!
That’s a pretty impressive indication of what consistent simulator practice can do for your short game.
It’s not just about smashing drives down the fairway.
It’s about building a better golfer — from tee to green.
