The year 2012 was the year the Khutsong Literary Club 147-657 NPO was conceived. We used to host reading sessions every Thursday of every week. Picnics, camps, documentary screenings, Thoughts & Views Dialogues and many other activities. But we also had a publication called the Scribbler where we would write and invite other people who are into scribbling their thoughts down to contribute pieces to the booklet. We used to bind it ourselves with the resources Tshepo Themba Development Center provided at the time but due to resources, time and other factors, like the lack of interest from the community, we were forced to bring the project to a stop.
The good news is that the EarRead Project still believes that the book was of great importance in cultivating a culture of reading in the community. We believe that if we give the book a title that's relevant to the community and one that contains the kind of content that's relevant to our people then perhaps they'll get to read it. more importantly because it is written by "The Community" itself. we have decided to bring the book back, in digital epub and pdf format for your indulgence and your liking.
The first edition of the book will be published in a few weeks.
Below is a picture of the new cover.
The EarRead Project Cannot wait to hear your thoughts about the thought provoking letters in there, that are meant specifically for you.
See you soon
