A great day at the historical Rocklands civic centre with the launch of the MITCHELLS PLAINS STAR SEARCH 2026 at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport open day with MEC Ricardo Mackenzie and his team.

Super excited. If you live in the Mitchell's plains area and you have talent or know of someone who has, who can sing or dance or a group, or choir. Then this Tuesday you can pop in at the Rocklands civic centre between 1pm and 6pm and come and enter Mitchell's Plain's Star Search. You will get all the details when you come to enter.

The competition is free.
You have to be between 16 and 30 years old and live in the Mitchell's Plain area.

Get ready, Mitchell’s Plain — your moment to shine has arrived! 🌟 Mitchell’s Plain Star Search 2026 – Finding Our Star! officially launches on 3 March 2026 at Rocklands Civic Centre, inviting all aspiring singers, vocal groups, choirs and dancers (aged 16–30) to step forward and be discovered. This exciting community celebration — marking 50 years of Mitchell’s Plain — is open to amateurs only and offers a powerful platform to learn, grow and experience the world of excellent entertainment. With renowned industry trailblazers serving as judges, vibrant social media interaction, and proud support from the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and MEC Ricardo Mackenzie, this uplifting initiative, led by Alistair Izobell through Izobell’s Helping Hands NPC, is your chance to rise.
