🎮 AFRICA GAMES WEEK 2026: CALL FOR SPEAKERS 🎤

Following the success of AGW 2025, we’re shifting gears. This year, we’re moving from the spotlight to the workshop. Our 2026 theme is: Constructing Africa’s Gaming Engine.

We are looking for the architects of the industry to join us in Cape Town this December. We need the trailblazers, the technical experts, and the strategic thinkers who are building the foundational systems that will sustain a thriving African gaming ecosystem for decades to come.

What we’re looking for:
-Talks that challenge the status quo.
-Workshops that provide the blueprints for success.
-Panels focused on the platforms and progress powering the continent.

Be the spark that fires up the engine. Help us elevate the African gaming industry to new heights.

📅 When: 6–8 December 2026
📍 Where: Cape Town, South Africa

With 2026 in full swing, let's take a moment to recap the impact of Games For Change Africa at !

Their presence was felt on the event floor with a stand full of volunteers keen to discuss impact gaming in Africa.

The fireside chat of Glenn Gillis and Lisa Adams shared deeper insights followed by the Devs in the Deep networking function hosted at the Two Oceans Aquarium that same day.

The Games for Change Africa Festival featured many speakers from Games for Change experts within the African gaming industry - coming together to provide immense value throughout the workshop.

All these activities culminated in the Best Impact Game in Africa award, hosted at the AGW 2025 Awards Ceremony and awarded to Nyamakop, for their latest title, Relooted!

We are so grateful to collaborate with Games for Change Africa and be a part of their mission to shape the evolving landscape of African gaming and foster a community where games are leveraged for their potential to drive positive change.

What an incredible week it has been! The energy, the innovation, and the passion displayed at Africa Games Week 2025 truly exceeded all expectations. We officially closed the curtain on an amazing gathering that brought the global and African game development community together!

A massive thank you to every guest, speaker, partner, and sponsor who made this week an incredible success. The energy was unmatched!

Huge congrats to all the winners at our 1st AGW Awards! 🏆 Seeing the best of African game development celebrated was the perfect close.
