A Creative Hub. In 2020 Teacher Tashai started New Rising Arts with 2 students. A Performance Arts Academy that focuses on creative development, expression, gross and fine motor development, and fun rather than pure competition. Since she graduated in 2016 with my licentiate in Teaching Performance Arts from Trinity College London, she has been teaching dance, drama, art, music and gymnastics in A

ustralia and South Africa in 4 different schools since 2015. In 2022 The Studio finally opened. 18 qualified teachers, teaching 48 different creative programs in Milnerton area for kids & adults including: Pottery, Visual Arts, Hip hop and Jazz, Contemporary Modern Ballet, Piano, Vocals, Arts & Crafts, Fitness, Guitar & Bass, Saxophone & Trombone, and Flexinastix. Talent Africa regionals was a blast this year! This year our students competed regionally across vocals, piano, modeling and dance💃

✨ A VERY BIG MOMENT FOR OUR MODERN TWEENS! ✨

We are SO incredibly proud of our Contemporary Ballet students who recently took to the stage at the Tygerberg Eisteddfod scoring a spectacular 88%! 🩰🤍

Their hard work, teamwork, and dedication shone through beautifully, with the adjudicator highlighting their beautiful costumes, strong formations, lovely lifts, and beautiful overall work. 🌟

Those lovely lifts don't happen by accident. Those formations don't magically fall into place. Behind every moment on stage are hours of learning, practising, trusting one another, getting it wrong, trying again, and growing together.

And THAT is what we're celebrating! 👏✨

To our Modern Tweens, you should be incredibly proud of what you created together. We certainly are! 💛

A huge congratulations to every dancer and to Teacher Carlista for the love, work, and preparation poured into this piece. 🩰
