From the heart of Cape Town, we welcome a dynamic and soulful performer whose journey is rooted in passion, resilience, and purpose - Megan Herbert.
Megan's love for music began at a tender age of 10, where her voice first found its wings in her primary school choir.T
hat early spark soon grew into a powerful flame 🔥, leading her to the prestigious ARTSCAPE Youth Jazz Festival, where she shared spaces with legendary musicians such as Buddy Wells and received formal vocal training under acclaimed jazz artist Melanie Scholtz.
Her talent extends far beyond singing. Megan Herbert has graced the stage as part of the beloved production "Kinders Van Die Ses", while continuously refining her craft in acting, singing, and dance - evolving into a truly versatile performer.
Her work with the renowned Eon Group at the St Joseph Stone Auditorium further deepened her roots in theatre and live performance.
Megan's artistry has taken her a across the globe. For seven years, she captivated international audiences, performing in Spain, - across Barcelona, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Palm de Mallorca - as well as in Greece, where she embraced diverese cultures and expanded her artistic expression.
Yet, it is her return home that truly defines her purpose.
Back in South Africa Megan has dedicated her voice and heart to uplifting the very communities she comes from. Through her ongoing work with Art Vibrations Incorporated, she uses music as a tool to inspire, heal, and empower young people across the Cape Flats.
A proud mother of two daughters, Megan continues to lead by example - balancing motherhood with a deep commitment to community impact.
She has also worked closely with Afrosapien Entertainment - Pty Ltd contributing to mayoral roadshows, youth empowerment initiatives, GBV awareness campaigns, and outreach to the elderly.
On the 18 April, she will not only bring her voice, but her story, her strength and unwavering love for music to the Miss Cape Flats stage.
There is truly no stopping the fire 🔥 within her.
