Cape Summer Fun Crawl Wild, Wine, Braai! Welcome the summer on November 19-20, 2016 in the Cape winelands with Cape Summer Fun Crawl Now that's a perfect South African Summer.

And that's what the Cape Summer Fun Crawl is about. On the November 19-20, 2016 weekend, this unique self-drive fest shall get you to 'crawl' between several attractions near Cape Town including a chimp hang-out, a croc farm, a lion park, a giraffe house, eagle encounters and an ostrich ranch but also visit many wine and fruit farms for free wine tasting and berry picking, only to settle down for

a braai on a lovely old stud farm under the open sky alongside fantastic entertainment, live music and family sports.

Eagle Encounters receives around 200 injured, poisoned, abandoned and illegally hand-raised birds of prey annually.

Our main objective always is to rehabilitate and release as efficiently as possible. We are proud of our 65% release rate.

Only those birds and animals that have been illegally hand-reared (therefore human-imprinted) call Eagle Encounters their permanent home. These animals become ambassadors for their species, as they are the stars of our education and eco-tourism programs.

Eagle Encounters functions as part of a network of organizations (including Cape Nature) who all have the wellbeing of our wildlife at heart. Through various conservation programs (such as owl box manufacture & installation, ringing, nest recording, outreaches, etc.) we are trying to ensure that our future generations will also get to enjoy our amazing wildlife.
