Cape Ballet Centre The Cape Ballet Centre is a Ballet School for children and adults situated in the heart of the Mother City, Cape Town.

The School is owned and run by Evelyne Aregger, who is also the principal instructor. Teaching with awareness and sensitivity, the Cape Ballet Centre shares the joy of creativity and movement, while providing students with a strong foundation in classical ballet. The Cape Ballet Centre (CBC) is one of only a few ballet schools in South Africa which offer classical Russian Vaganova based training for all ages and levels of dancers. What a wonderful experience it was to have Bolshoi ballerina, Luna Helm, join us for our Open Adult Classes!

Luna graduated from the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy this year and has since joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company.

Our dancers were especially lucky to catch a glimpse of her breathtaking Le Corsaire variation.

Luna, thank you for sharing your artistry, talent and beautiful energy with us. We hope to welcome you back soon! 🩷

A special season on stage for Lucy Walker and Lara Pieterse! ✨

After their successful Advanced 2 exam, Lucy and Lara had the wonderful opportunity to join the corps de ballet of Cape Town City Ballet in their production of Orpheus.

What an incredible experience to be part of such a beautiful production. Their dedication, artistry, and passion for ballet continue to shine, and we are excited to watch their journey unfold.

So proud of our CBC students Lara, Lucy, Lena, Sienna and Sophie who performed with Cape Junior Ballet in collaboration with Johannesburg Ballet Academy in the spectacular production Exaltation🩰✨

Our girls were incredibly fortunate to work with an outstanding lineup of choreographers, including Kirsten Eisenberg, Michelle Reid, Robin van Wyk, Yarisha Singh, Nicolette Loxton, and Ashley Searle. What a privilege to work alongside some of South Africa’s finest choreographers.

A heartfelt congratulations and thank you to Kim Day and everyone involved in bringing this inspiring production to life. Your vision, passion, and commitment to creating opportunities for young dancers are truly deeply appreciated.♥️

Franscois and Essek started ballet classes with CBC as adults in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Last week they completed their first ballet exam, RAD Level 2, and both passed with High Distinction! 🌟

To step into an exam as an adult takes courage, dedication and true commitment. It requires consistent hard work, late nights of extra lessons and the willingness to push beyond comfort zones, something they both did with grace and determination.

We are so proud of you, not only for what you have achieved for yourselves but as an inspiration to all of us that it is never too late to start, to improve, and to thrive in this art form that belongs to all of us at every stage of our lives. Congratulations, you stars! 🌟✨🌟
