Once again we were privileged to adjudicate the annual Western Cape Christmas Band competition. A very positive experience.
Why do these people not attract sponsorship from the private sector? Surely they play an important part in social upliftment.
Well done to all the bands!

Very exciting day at MUSIC MATTERS!
Six students have registered for the course "Principles of Instrumental Teaching" presented by Kim & Faan Malan.
FLTR: Shaun Booysen, Nathan Adonis, Kyle Scott, Cailin Murray, Ianthea Peters, Roberto Isaacs.
This initiative is presented by MUSIC MATTERS, supported by the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and generously funded by the MAID Foundation.
We are indeed privileged to be able to serve our community and the m music industry in this way.

Music Matters hosted two days of Chamber Music on 29 & 30 September, during which 24 musicians gathered at the DF Malan High School to play music together. Two nonets as well as smaller ensembles were formed. They performed works by Joseph Rheinberger, George Onslow, Johannes Brahms and others. We hope this will become a regular event on the Cape music calendar. A sincere thanks to the MAID Foundation, who generously sponsored the event.
