What an incredible weekend of films at - moving, engaging,distressing,horrifying,hilarious,insightful - we had it all.

Watch this space for a wrap up of the weekend and the festival.

Some of the top films from the festival will soon be available on the cinema circuit and/ or on a streaming platform near you.

South African films and filmmakers are alive and well and telling our stories. Thank you to each and everyone of you and the audiences who filled the seats for every screening.

There are 113 days until opens in Stellenbosch.
🔸️100 of those days are required to read the programme and juggle a schedule.
🔸️13 days are needed to establish a coping mechanism for the FOMO for the items you won't be able to squeeze in. Not for want of trying.

This year's programme is as deep as it is wide and there really is something for you, no matter what interests you.

At the programme launch, festival director Saartjie Botha spoke to the theme 'deel' and highlighted the concept that sharing is an expansive, not a restrictive experience.

I don't have,many heroes but since the age of 11 Marianne has been mine.My touch point, my lode star.
Her music and her life made more sense to me than anything else. There were days when it was only her voice that pulled me through. Watching her on stage and meeting her remain the happiest days of my life.

She was the stuff that my dreams were made of.
At last dearest Marianne your life, not little at all, but the largest that anyone could possibly imagine is rounded by a sleep.
