281 has been inspired by the play between Black & White and taking us back to our roots. John Herschel the father of photography visited SA in 1833 and so we pay homage to our heritage. What better way than an exposure of photography. Coming soon.

The coining of the word "photography" is usually attributed to Sir John Herschel in 1839. It is based on the Greek φῶς (phos), (genitive: phōtós) meaning "light", and γραφή (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light".
