While the aesthetic impact that a piece of art makes is immediate, it is wise taking time to tap into the artist’s mindset and culture and to pause a while to understand the complex interrelation of form, colour content. Slowly, layers of meaning may be perceived. Each artwork, piece of pottery, sculpture or painting is more than an expression of the artist’s identity and intent. It becomes a vehicle that conveys the knowledge, aspirations, beliefs and values of the society he lives in.
