One of the biggest opportunities was transforming an iconic venue into something entirely new.
Multiple rooms. Multiple moods. Multiple ways to experience the night.

We created spaces that invited audiences to make memories, explore, discover and move through the experience at their own pace; making every room feel like its own destination while remaining part of one bigger world.

This is what we mean when we talk about immersive experiences.

We believe the strongest experiences live somewhere between a big idea and the smallest detail.

For Red Bull Unlocked, that meant looking beyond programming and asking: how should this night feel?
From spatial planning and audience flow to programming, atmosphere and the moments in between, every element was considered as part of one connected experience. A good event is attended but a great event is remembered.

At the heart of Red Bull Unlocked is the culture that makes Cape Town what it is. From local talent and DJs to the bars, clubs, creatives and communities shaping the city, the experience was built around the people who give the city its pulse.

Rather than recreate Cape Town, we brought pieces of the city into one space; creating room for different worlds to meet, connect, explore & celebrate together.

As we gear up for the epic 2026 edition of Red Bull Unlocked, we’re taking you back to what one unforgettable night in one of the greatest cities in the world feels like.

One city. One night. Endless ways to experience it.
And this year? We’re taking it even further 😤

ONE TICKET. ONE ICONIC VENUE. ONE UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT.

The brief was simple: take the energy of Cape Town’s nightlife and bring it all under one roof.

For Red Bull Unlocked, the challenge was to create more than an event. It was to build a world where the city’s bars, clubs, creative spaces, artists and communities could collide in one unforgettable night.

70+ artists. Multiple rooms. One iconic venue.

Here’s a look at how we brought the brief to life.
