Congratulations!

A very BIGGGGGGGG thank you to cast and crew for an absolutely amazing experience producing the BTC film called RADIO SILENCE for the international 48 hour film festival- Cape Town.

We started the filming from 7 pm this past Friday - 6 September 2024- and completed the entire film which includes writing, directing, producing and editing at 7pm today- Sunday 8 September 2024. It was teamwork in the truest sense of the word.

The film is to be screened at the 48-hour film festival next week, Saturday and Sunday at ster kinekor in the waterfront. Watch media for details.

The film was realized under the guidance of the producer Sebastian Petersen and the talented cast and crew.

To cast, crew and all supporters. You rock! Much ❤️

Lights, sound, camera and ACTION!

This weekend, BTC will once again produce a film for the international and world renowned 48 hour film festival.

This BTC film will be written, produced, acted, directed and completed in 48 hours from this Friday 7pm to this Sunday 7pm.

BTC's film, together with 15 other films, will be screened at Nu Metro cinema in the Cape Town Waterfront on the Saturday and Sunday 21 and 22 September 2024 as from 2pm.

The winning film of the 48 film festival will be announced at a Oscar gala event on the Saturday 28 September 2024 at the Homecoming theatre in Cape Town.

Thereafter, the winning film will be screened in March 2025 at the Cannes film festival in France.

BTC's film is produced by Sebastian Petersen with cast and crew of highly talented people.

Let's create! Let's entertain! Let's make magic!

FINNA - Dance drama film.

Once in a while, something comes along that's truly remarkable. Not only for it's content. But for its ex*****on.

The commencement of filming this weekend of the BTC , Gemini Twins film FINNA , a dance drama, is one such occasion.

It is an artistic display of talented young performers of biblical proportions.

It is teamwork in the truest sense of the word. From cast to crew to suppliers.

Everyone went beyond the call of duty to deliver the platform for a film that we all can feel truly proud of.

This weekend, we saw the future of creating good quality films, and it looks bright.

Long may it continue .

BTC making a difference.

Today, BTC kicked off their T.I.E ( Theatre in Education) performances at western cape high schools.

Our performance today at Crystal high school in Hanover Park is called HIGH ON LIFE. It deals with drug abuse and addiction amongst our youth.

BTC T.I. E program consists of 6 different musical , dance and drama plays. It deals with Bullying, drug abuse, sexual abuse, racism, violence and gender base violence.

Well done to the amazing cast of HIGH ON LIFE. What an absolutely brilliant performance today.

Continue with the hard work.

Together we can do more!

This was proven over the last 6 months. Whereby artistically talented inexperienced actors, writers, crew and filmmakers forged their skills , under professional guidance, to produce 2 groundbreaking new films called CAPERS and SY GIE HAAR UYT .

These creatives are inexperienced through no fault of their own. But through lack of opportunities and funding to study at institutions that offer further education in the arts.

CAPERS was developed by Gemini Twins films and Allegiance media in collaboration with the students of the 6 College of Cape Town campuses .

SY GIE HAAR UYT was produced by Gemini Twins films and Allegiance media in collaboration with creatives of Bridgetown Theatre Company ( BTC) and the Western Cape townships communities.

The positive outcome of these collaborations allowed creatives to get to know each other better and build stronger artistic connections.

This process has also proven that creatives don't have to constantly be in competition with each other. But rather respect, value and appreciate each person's artistic talent on merit.

The two films will be screened at the free Cape Flêts Fillim Festival from 15 to 16 June 2024. Details on advert below.
