Dear friends of La Rosa and Carolyn Holden, the funeral service is only for Carolyn's family, very close friends and members of La Rosa Company - please respect the family's wishes for a private affair. There will be a memorial service in celebration of Carolyn's life at the Baxter on the 16 April at 11am - all are welcome to the memorial service. Many thanks

Dear La Rosa members, friends and family... I wish this was a post on our next big production but sadly it isn't. Our fellow dancer, friend, sister, mother and mentor passed away earlier today! Founder and Artistic Director, Carolyn Holden, is no longer with us! Thank you all for your messages sent today. It means so much. We will keep everyone updated on a memorial service for our dear Mama Rosa, Caro!

The highlight of Act One is the ‘Strangers Meet’ duet between Nkosinathi Figlan and Nicole Nuria Brown. Their movements - reaching towards one another from opposite sides of the stage - place emphasis on the things that cannot be, an emotion supported by the clever use of two separate spotlights.
