Their title made me think of the Schumann Resonance.

I asked AI to give me an update on what is currently happening with the Schumann Resonance. This is what it said:

Schumann Resonance is experiencing anomalies, with recent updates showing intense energy spikes and whiteout conditions.

On June 16, 2026, some reported anomalies with codes and messages. Earlier, on June 14, 2026, another said that the Earth's frequency had gone "COMPLETELY OFF THE RAILS" with full whiteout mode, causing unusual fatigue, pressure headaches, and vivid dreams.

These anomalies are affecting people's physical and emotional states, with many reporting exhaustion, mental alertness, and emotional saturation. Some are experiencing timeline anomalies, with repeated numbers and backward-forward patterns.

I must say, I've been feeling weird the past few days, maybe it's this.

Is this affecting you at all?

"The Harkening"

Sometimes, when an idea for an artwork comes, it feels much more intense than usual. Like it came from a far-off forgotten place. Whether past or future. Or a place not from this realm. And that the idea had to travel far to get to me.

This is what happened with these works. I've always had a love for bones. They seem like they hold knowledge and answers.

It took a while to get a title for them. Sometimes titles for works come quickly, not with this triptych. It seemed like I had to travel as far as it took the idea to reach me until I finally settled on 'The Harkening'.

These are just some of the meanings of hark or harken. Not a word used much these days.

To hark back, to recall to mind, to return or revert to, allude to, to evoke.
To long or pine for a past event or era.
To listen, hear, regard - hearkened without much mental comment.
To give respectful attention.

It all somehow seems to be a clue and nudge to slow down.

What would you do with 375 wishes?

Would you share them?
Will you break them all and make a wish for all the struggles in the world to change.
Will you wish for a new world?
Or wish for more love than darkness?

So many things to wish for.
375 wishes suddenly seems too little.

THE WISDOM OF OAKS

This new piece reflects the oak tree’s enduring presence as a symbol of resilience and knowledge. Oaks are renowned for their longevity, often described as living through a 900-year cycle - 300 years of growth, 300 years of maturity, and 300 years of gradual decline. This rhythm embodies the unfolding of wisdom across time: patience in growth, abundance in maturity, and dignity in age.

Beyond its physical strength, the oak has also shaped human experience through scent. Oakmoss, a lichen that grows on its bark, has been treasured in perfumery for centuries, anchoring fragrances with its earthy, grounding aroma. From ancient rituals to modern compositions, oakmoss carries the oak’s spirit into the sensory realm. Wisdom is not only seen but also felt.

By forming oak leaves and acorns in clay, I distill their essence into something pared back and timeless, inviting reflection on the lessons the oak offers - strength rooted in patience, abundance in maturity, dignity in decline, renewal held in the acorn, and a wisdom that permeates both nature and human memory.

11 YEARS OF SOBRIETY

Alcohol was my best friend for many years and in the end I couldn’t cope without it. It was the solution to all my problems. Being an alcoholic was the last thing I would have imagined for myself, but there I was, not being able to abstain for even one day.

On the 1st of June, 2015, I started this journey of sobriety. I joined a programme of recovery and realized that I was not unique, there were many others that drank like me. I learnt about alcoholism. I heard the stories people shared and learnt that alcohol addiction does not discriminate. It can grab hold of anyone, no matter what race or social class. In my case it was a matter of functioning like a normal person during the day, doing my job 100%, but at night I was consuming glass after glass of red wine until the last drop.

I knew something had to give. Many questions started circling in my head. "Why me? Would I be boring? Would I be able to create without alcohol? I couldn’t imagine a life without this best friend. But I took a leap of faith and started. Taking it one day at a time. With the support of other recovering alcoholics and my close family I have managed to get to 4018 days today.

Just after I started my sober journey I did this self portrait. It was powerful and a very significant moment in time.
This was the first painting I did without a glass of wine in my hand. Before this I thought it would be impossible to create anything without a drink by my side. How wrong I was. The path of sobriety has given me indescribable gifts that keep on giving every day!

I drew inspiration for from the Fayum panel portraits. The first discovery of the Fayum mummy portraits was in 1615 by the Italian explorer Pietro della Valle on his visit to Egypt. Later discoveries are dated in the 19th century. To date about 900 Fayum mummy portraits are known to exist.

The portraits were commissioned and created during the individual's lifetime and later used in their mummy cases to aid the passage to eternal life.

There’s magic in the way a feathers and leaves find their way to the ground.

The first softly dances from the sky, the other let go by the trees, but they both land with the same grace.

I’ve been thinking about this parallel.

Feathers represent that higher perspective we all search for, the mystical or the divine. Leaves though, are about the seasons of our growth and the wisdom of staying grounded.

We spend our lives trying to balance the two. The celestial and the earthly.

Sometimes letting go isn't a tragedy, it's just a different kind of movement.

I hope these pieces serve as a little anchor for you today. Whether you are currently rising or gently falling, you’re exactly where you need to be.

I’d love to hear which of these calls to you more right now. Are you in a season of flight, or a season of falling?

Lately I’ve been thinking about the connections we carry through life.

Not only with people, but with intuition and energy and the presence of something much greater than ourselves moving around and within us.

The spaces, textures, and gold details in this piece refer to those invisible threads that guide us. Gut feelings, unexplainable pulls, moments of alignment, and the deep sense of connection we sometimes feel to the world.

Curated Connection is about trusting those things. The instincts we follow. The energies we choose to hold onto. The people and experiences that shape us over time.

I chose this title because I don’t believe meaningful connection is accidental. We slowly curate our lives through what we allow in our lives, what we choose to hold close, protect, nurture, and give our energy to.

Some things are understood.
Others are simply felt.
