🤪 Just a sneak peak into our "Hip Hop 1 - 4" ages 12 - 18 (Wednesdays at 16:45) which is the next class up from "Beginner" (Thursday 17:00) on our timetable.
In this class, we challenge the students to step outside their comfort zone just a "lil bit" to bring their best out! Laughs are had without a doubt with this bunch! 😹

I have always reminded every student that no matter what it looks like, you did your best and you smiled throughout because you brought your energy and your passion onto the floor!

Happy Mother's Day to every one of our *gems* at Innovative Studios.
I wish you all a day as stunning as you are ❤️ may you be reminded today and every other day that you are a queen, and you are appreciated 🙏🏻you are endlessly thanked for your unwavering strength and comfort you bring to your child 🩷
To our beautiful students whose Mama's are no longer with us, may you reflect on every happy memory today, and be reminded of how much you are loved, and how you have been shaped so perfectly into who you are ❤️

I woke up this morning (a little later than usual), and I was feeling rather on the 'tired' side after an eventful Sunday taking part in Comicon. I often 'fib' about my age, but always with a cheeky smile because I do refuse my body to admit it's getting older 🫢 but boy, did I feel it this morning.
None the less, there I was at my desk at 8am with paper, lyrics, and music playing and playing again, again, and again. The next thing I looked, it was 11am, and I did not feel tired anymore. In fact, I feel rejuvenated, excited, and warmed that my 'work' does not feel like work. Although, it is necessary for me to write my down my choreography and plan accordingly for the classes ahead in studio, it truly feels like the language of dance is a door I gracefully walk through every day.
It's been 18 years of standing in front of students, and the time has flown by. Being able to meet people from all walks of life, both young and old, all coming together for one purpose - to move, to be a part of a community that cares, to be a part of a family that brings you happiness, and to be a part of something truly special.
As my adult class would say, "It's our therapy"
