Corinne de Haas hosted my workshop at her beautiful studio in Kleinmond this last Saturday. It was such a truly inspirational space to be working in with all the evidence of serious production all around us. People came from far and wide to learn these exciting tricks for building simple forms easily. We liked at ways to sketch and scale up our designs and also how to simplify and keep a freshness about the construction process. I was very excited to see the beautiful results.

It was also so rewarding to meet up with various students of mine who have moved to the area from Cape Town and to see that they are still going strong in their pottery worlds.

I will be showing you how to make paperclay the easy way, and why it is so liberating for your creativity to use it for your sculptures. I will demonstrate and help you break up the design for your sculpture into is component parts, and use altered tubes to build it easily and hollow. This workshop could change your life!

Beautiful and sometimes surprising results coming out of the studio. It's been a creative few weeks with my brother and sister joining us in class and saying goodbye to our dearly beloved studio dog, Ruby.
