Animus Flow Fest - Autumn 2023 19-21 May

Herman Breytenbach is a passionate fire dancer with over 12 years of experience. What started as a fascination with poi has now blossomed into a love for various props including Contact staff, Buugeng(S staff), double staves, juggling balls and clubs, contact juggling, Dragon staff and Fire swords.
With a deep appreciation for the beauty and expression of fire dancing, Herman has honed their craft and developed a unique style that blends technical skill with artistic expression. His performances are mesmerizing and captivating, leaving audiences in awe.
Herman Started performing in Johannesburg in 2012 at various events and music festivals. He then started his own fire dancing company called Tandem flame. Then in 2018 he moved to Cape town where he works with Fire tribe and the psychedelic theatre amongst others. He calls himself Tatewari (the fire God of the native Mexican people) Wiki . He has also travelled through Europe going to the European juggling convention and the phoenix fire convention to learn from some of the best flow artists in Europe.
In addition to performing, Herman is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and expertise with others. He offers workshops and classes for beginners and advanced fire dancers alike, helping to cultivate a community of passionate and skilled fire performers.
When not dancing with fire, Herman enjoys making Fire toys, Bamboo Flutes, string art and exploring nature with his dog Cody. With a deep respect for the power and beauty of fire, Herman approaches fire dancing with reverence and mindfulness, always playing and enjoying himself.

He will also be performing with His toys on both the Friday and Saturday evening events.

He will be teaching : Staff/Sword - Contact . Juggling - Clubs & Passing , Contact juggling , and Advanced juggling
