What a wild ride. In just 3 weeks the tracks on this album have been streamed on Spotify over 100,000 times! 😱 😱 I hope you're still.enjoying it and not getting sick of it by now! I'm busy working on a new film at the moment. No idea if there will be a soundtrack release, but either way, I have new music planned for release in 2021 😁

According to Spotify, currently the city with the most listeners of the My Octopus Teacher soundtrack is New Taipei in Taiwan! And the country with the most listeners, is the United States. It’s so incredible to think there are people all over the world listening to my music - very humbling indeed ☺️ But it got me thinking…who ARE all these people? 🤔 You’re not just a statistic! I’m guessing most of you know (but perhaps some of you don’t) that I live in Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦 I’d love to know where you are! Let me know in the comments, and post your flag too!

I can’t believe it!! My first album on Spotify, my first 100 followers, and my first 50,000 streams! Thank you for listening (sometimes on repeat), sharing and adding My Octopus Teacher songs onto your own playlists 🐙 I’m constantly blown away by how many people have connected with the movie as well as the soundtrack, and I’m so happy that those who’ve been asking for it and that have waited patiently for the soundtrack to be released, have finally got it! Mostly, I’ve been filled with joy to read all the comments and messages you have sent me via social media and email to express how much you are enjoying the soundtrack ❤️ I’m grateful that it has been a blessing to so many 🥰
It seems that the last track in the movie that plays over the end credits is the favourite, with almost 7,000 streams!! I guess it’s quite an emotional ending to the film, and many people have resonated with it. Which track is your favourite, and why? Let me know in the comments 😊
