African Ethos Traditional African musical instruments, tuition and performers.

The studio is run by Ethnomusicologist Gavin Coppenhall and focuses on promoting traditional African music, from the manufacture of musical instruments to the performance of African music and dance. We are the main provider of South African Xhosa type marimbas and drums to schools, traditional African music groups and churches in Cape Town and also provide instruments nationally and Internationally.
