Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Intern position based in Cape Town. The Intern will gain hands-on experience in special effects operating, lasers and client support on shows.

Responsibilities include prepping /testing machines, running shows , working on events , traveling around the country for shows, and learning the trade.

The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, detail-oriented, enthusiastic about special effects and have a valid drivers code 8 licence.

Qualifications

Code 08 or higher valid driving licence.
Basic knowledge the sound and lighting industry.
Basic knowledge of DMX
Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team-based environment
Adaptability and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced setting
Previous internship or experience in the sound & lighting industry is a plus.

Djpower Dsk 1600VM

These are the new DJPOWER DSK1600 VM LED Swing Super Jet vertical smoke machine in action. They are the 1st ones in the country , there are more of them coming soon. These machines produce 32 000 cubic feet of smoke per minute and the nozzle is able to move from side to side. It can be controlled DMX or wireless remote. I used smoke Robe' smoke fluid on this event as I needed the smoke to hang for as long as possible for the laser to be effective.
